Alan Scheibner is a professional agrologist by training with over 35 years of experience working with the strategic development and implementation of management and field programs to reduce environmental impacts and assist with community business opportunities related to resource development projects.

Alan ScheibnerMr. Scheibner has assisted in the successful development and expansions of various business corporations having both Canadian and international operations.  Alan has over 20 years of international experience consulting to government organizations such as the Canadian International Development Agency, Canadian Energy Resource Institute, Canadian Petroleum Institute, Petro-Canada International Management Corporation and the World Bank.

Alan is a founding partner in CoBiz Group Ltd. and his responsibilities include the identification of international business opportunities with an emphasis on the potential use of Canadian technology and services to support the development of natural resource projects and related community capacity building.  CoBiz Ltd. is currently looking at developing business opportunities in Papua New Guinea and Fiji.

Alan has developed international experience since 1992 as principal of Western Oilfield Environmental Services Ltd. (Western) and W.C.I International Inc. developing direct or joint venture business opportunities and project work in Latin America, Africa, Russia and Asia.

In 2001 Mr. Scheibner successfully negotiated a business merger with Alpine Environmental Services Ltd. (Alpine) and the employees of the company purchased the company in 2005. His work included the development of First Nation joint venture companies. He assisted in the growth of the company to 200 employees and over $20 million in annual revenue.

Since 2005 Mr. Scheibner has also worked as an independent consultant for companies such as BP working in the areas of environmental liability assessment, landuse conflict, regulatory liaison, First Nation community business development and related training programs.

Alan Scheibner CrabFrom 2001 to the current time period developed and implemented First Nation environmental service related training programs with an emphasis on developing sustainable employment opportunities.
From 1997 to 2010 provided management, technical and training support to the ESAA, CIDA, ARPEL Environmental Technical bilateral program in Costa Rica, Mexico, Ecuador, Cuba, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Jamaica and Venezuela.
2000 managed the development and implementation of various environmental training programs for the Canadian Petroleum Institute and PEMEX.
From 1987 to 1996 assisted Petro-Canada International Management Services and CIDA in environmental assessment and community affairs in Costa Rica, Botswana, Madagascar, Ghana and Republic of the Philippines.
1992 assisted the World Bank in the assessment of oil spill cleanup capabilities of Russian petroleum companies in Western Siberia.; 1994 assisted the World Bank and the Argentina National Petroleum Company, (YPF) to determine environmental liabilities and assist YPF with infrastructure strengthening and privatization.
